The main goal of our project is to develop chatbots into real virtual assistants in Hungarian (and similar languages) that not only act as a button-driven browser, but also become capable of organizing meetings, from booking tickets to general consulting, through free-form communication or word-based solution).
We will test the development in our solutions for financial services providers, but we plan to make a significant amount of results available in other areas and languages. This is why we aimed to algorithmize the peculiarities and rules of the Hungarian language – and languages similar to Hungarian – as well as in the given context (user location, time, interest, age, social and economic situation, etc.) based chatbot, which is available to make it easier and faster for Hungarian-language users to find out about the benefits of digital solutions that are not currently available in their native language. To do this, we utilize the available developments in Hungarian linguistics institutes, involve linguists and build on our experience with English text interpreters.
The project will focus on recognizing Hungarian instructions, but the language-independent part of the improvements will be applicable to other languages as well. We will also implement voice recognition capabilities for the service to function. Although suitable technologies are already available in this area (eg Dragon, Google Voice Typing, Win10 Speech Recognition), we will be able to improve the accuracy of recognition by algorithming grammar rules.
